2025 NFST Registration

Welcome to the Nottingham Forest Sharks Swim Team! NFST competes in the Red Division of the Memorial Spring Branch Swim Conference. The MSBSC is a volunteer-run recreational youth summer swim league. The season runs annually through May and June.

Our goal is to provide a SAFE and FUN competitive experience for all members.

The Nottingham Forest Swim Team is open Nottingham Forest Club members in good standing, ages 4-18.

Nottingham Forest Club Membership Requirement

NFST requires all swimmers to be members of the Nottingham Forest Club. I certify that I am currently a member in good standing with the Nottingham Forest Club.

Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference, Inc. Parental Release and Consent Confirmation of Eligibility and Sportsmanship Policy

I/We hereby give approval for the participation of my child (children) in any and all swim team activities on the Swim Team, and I/we assume all risk and hazards incident to such participation including transportation to and from said activities, and waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference Inc., its Members, all participating teams, officers, organizers, coaches, supervisors, directors, volunteers, participants, and persons or parents involved in any way, including transporting participants to and from such activities, from claims arising out of injury to my/our child, and/or damages to or loss of property. 

I/We acknowledge that I/We understand that there is currently no way to guarantee the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. I/We are voluntarily choosing to participate in the Memorial Spring Branch Swimming Conference, Inc. and understand the risks associated with the usage of public facilities. I/We agree to abide by governmental guidelines regarding personal health monitoring, social distancing, and group size as well as directives of lifeguards and pool management. I/We hereby release and hold harmless MSBSC from any and all liability arising from COVID-19 illness or injury arising from swimming activities. 

I/We also certify that my/our child has not violated Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference Inc. eligibility rules by training or competing with a USA swim team or organization or YMCA swim team or organization after March 9th of the current swim season. 

I/We understand that any violation of this eligibility rule will result in my/our child being ineligible for this league for one year and the forfeiting of each meet in which he/she competed for the aforementioned swim club.

I/We confirm that I/we have read the Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference, Inc. Sportsmanship Policy and agree to follow the policy by promoting good sportsmanship.

Volunteer Hours

Our family understands that Nottingham Forest Swim Team and the Memorial-Spring Branch Swimming Conference is run by dedicated volunteers. Our family agrees to contribute six (6) hours of volunteer activity during the 2025 season. Our family understands that if roles are not self-selected they may be assigned by need and it will be our responsibility to find a replacement and notify the Volunteer Coordinator if there is a conflict.

NEW 6 & Under Swimmers

NFST will require a swim evaluation for all NEW 6 & Under swimmers. This evaluation will determine whether they are qualified for Shark Swim School or eligible to join the 6U Age group for the team. Evaluations will be held Tuesday April 22 - Wednesday April 24 from 3:50 - 4:20pm OR Saturday April 26 12-2pm at the NFC Pool.

  • All NEW Swimmers age 6 and under for the 2025 season must complete a swim evaluation. 
  • If swimmer can successfully complete an unassisted lap across the full length of the pool in under 60 seconds, this qualifies them for the team. (Swimmers must swim independently across the pool in 60 seconds or less without touching bottom of pool, stopping, or holding on to lane ropes).
  • If swimmer is ready to learn to swim but are unable to complete an unassisted lap, they may be eligible for Shark Swim School.
  • Only NFST Coaches will time and evaluate swimmers during the evaluation. Coach's decision is final.

These rules will be enforced for the safety of our swimmers, coaches, and volunteers.
