Hi Shark families, 

We've got our first few great days of practice in the books and the swimmers are looking great! 

REMINDERS: 

• There is NO PRACTICE on Fridays during the month of May, so no practice tomorrow. We do, however, hold a Saturday morning practice. We hope to see you there! practice-information
• Weather updates - Any weather updates will be sent out via email and posted to the home page of the website, so please monitor in the event of weather. Practice will only be canceled if there is thunder / lightning in the area at practice time. 
• Please remind your swimmers that there are NO Sharks in the baby pool during or after practice. The baby pool is open during practices to little siblings with the understanding that parents must monitor their own children, but Shark team swimmers are not allowed. Thank you for helping enforce this. 

Please be on the lookout for upcoming communication about Meet opt-in, volunteer sign-ups and volunteer training. We will be opening these up on the website next week. 

Also, on Monday 5/6 during the first few minutes of regular practice, Coach Elaine will be on the pool deck to give a brief introduction and welcome new and returning families to the team. Be sure to stick around and say hi! 

IMPORTANT DATES: 

• 5/11 8am - 11am: Team suit fitting / purchasing - Come early to regular practice times to try on your team suit while your swimmer is DRY. This will be your ONLY opportunity to purchase the team suit if you do not have one from last year that works. If you can't be there, please arrange with someone to pick up a suit for your swimmer. 
• 5/11 9am - 10am: Also on 5/11, we will host a volunteer training session. We will be training on all volunteer roles, including wranglers, stroke / place judges and timers, so if you are new to the team or would like to learn a new role to volunteer for this season, we highly encourage you to attend. We will have coffee and donuts for everyone who stays!
